Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town is celebrating this Week of Love by spotlighting three couples who are getting married here this month.
Shari was living in Pittsburgh, Eric in Rio Rancho when they both decided separately to attend their 38th class reunion in Roswell, NM, in the fall of 2013.
They did not date in high school and neither one of them can recall any conversation while in high school but because Goddard High School was so small, they knew who the other one was and come to find out, each of them admired the other one from afar.
Shari is a single mother of a daughter, Taren Hodges May, and Eric is a single father of a daughter, Amber Dayhoff. In addition to the daughter similarity, their life paths and beliefs are amazingly similar. That’s why when long distance conversations started, their love grew like a wild fire.
Eric helped Shari move the 1670 miles back to New Mexico from Pennsylvania and they will be married on Saturday, Feb. 15, with their daughters standing beside them as they share their vows in front of their families, friends and God.
