This year’s five day taste-filled weekend of events takes place on September 24-28, 2014. The fiesta will include a Grand Tasting with more than 90 national wineries and 75 of Santa Fe’s best restaurants. Wine Seminars

When: September 24-26

Where: La Fonda Hotel

Choose from a selection of eight different wine seminars at this year’s fiesta. Each seminar will allow you to expand your palate with an array of wines selected from Malbec, Barolo, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and a champagne with New Mexico bubbles.

Cooking Demo

When: Santa Fe School of Cooking

Where: September 24-27

With fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, you can choose from eight different cooking demos and experience mind-blowing tastings created by world-class chefs.

If you’re interested in a food tour, weave through Santa Fe’s most prestigious restaurants with a chef/guide. Each stop will offer a tasting sparkling wines, southwestern, french, and other casual and sophisticated cuisines.

Guest Chef Luncheons

When: September 24

Where: Eldorado Hotel & Spa

Guest Chefs will get the chance to throwdown this year at the elegant Eldorado Hotel & Spa. Tickets are already sold out to this amazing event, where four great Santa Fe chefs and three Master Sommeliers compete to please your palate. Guest will get the chance to cast their vote and see which team wins.

Or, choose to lunch with Chef Matt Yohalem, owner of Il Piatto Italian Farmhouse Kitchen. Chef Yohalem will prepare a four course meal with freshest ingredients from the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market. Winemaker Laurent Gruet will greet guest and assist in a VIP Tour and Tasting. You’ll get the chance to sip the finest wine from the Gruet Winery, which is based in Albuquerque.

This exciting event precedes the Grand Tasting, and in the spirit of the fiesta, a silent auction will take place during the evening, where you will have the opportunity to taste more than 75 rare wine lots. Proceeds will help sponsor restaurants and chefs’ community endeavors like Santa Fe’s Cooking with Kids program and Santa Fe Restaurant Week.

This year’s sell-out event will feature more than 90 wineries and 75 local restaurants, where wine novices and aficionados will participate in ample wine tastings and sample the best foods.

Gran Fondo Bike Ride

When: September 28

Where: Towa Golf Course at Hilton Buffalo Thunder

The Tour de France won’t compare to Gran Fondo in New Mexico. You can choose 75-mile route or an easier 50-mile loop. Take your marks at the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado, and embark on a journey that’s guaranteed to be both beautiful and delicious through historic villages of Truchas, Cunidyo, Nambe and Chimayo. No alcohol will be served during the ride, but celebrity chefs will have delicious food stations with gourmet bites along the route. Guest chefs include: Matthew Accarino, Mark Kiffin, Kevin Nashan and Michelle Berstein.
