Visiting Taos? Time to Get Artsy!

September is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit New Mexico. The final month of summer in Taos brings with it pleasant temperatures and some of the best events all year. In fact, before October comes, a variety of art festivals are coming to town.

Here are a few events you won’t want to miss!

Music on the Rocks

When: September 20, 2016

Where: Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort

Check out some of the best local and regional artist at this year’s Music on the Rocks Music Festival. The annual artistic and taste-filled weekend includes unique artist booths and amazing food and beverages. All concerts are free, so bring friends and family along for the experience. Kids can get their faces painted, work on art projects and enjoy disc golf.

What a great weekend in Red River: for the second year, the Red River Folk Festival leads up to Aspencade!

The Folk Festival (Sept. 22-24) brings a great blend of folk, Americana, bluegrass and country performers to three venues in town.

There is no better time of year to head to the southern Rockies for the Aspencade Performing Arts and Crafts Fair (Sept. 23-25). Enjoy the cool air, fall colors and the glorious view of the aspens, while browsing booths that feature handmade-made items like jewelry, crafts and pottery.
